Churches
There are seven Churches of the Gods of the light which PC's may join. PC's may chose the level to which they devote themselves to their God. They may be lay worshippers, known as Kindred, join the martial arm of the church known as the Devoted or join the Priesthood itself. Each level of worship carries its own set of responsibilities and benefits.
Those who joined the Devoted or Priesthood are gifted with Mana.
Church of Sidhe
The church of Sidhe serves as the fellowship of worshippers of Sidhe, father of the Gods.
The church has had a troubled past, often vocal in support of the monarchy but there are many currently within the church who look upon the current king and many of the dukes with scorn and dislike.
The church does not usually seek political power but it's clergy can often be found as members of the judiciary.
Church of Vleybor
Devoted to the Worship of the Goddess Vleybor.
The followers of Vleybor are devoted to life and healing and hence cannot kill or attack without provocation - though there are varying degrees on what counts as "provocation". Though totally opposed to combat and the death that comes with it, do not make the mistake of upsetting members of the church too much.
Generally Vleyborians tend towards pacifism, though many who follow the Goddess are devoted to healing not just the preservation of life and prevention of combat. They also tend towards being diplomatic, being as eloquent as a bard when trying to prevent bloodshed or negotiate a peaceful outcome to a situation.
Many followers of Vleybor will also join the Guild of Physicians, as it perfectly compliments their beliefs and the Guild recognises it as such.
Followers of Vleybor tend to wear white and red, and the symbol of the church is a celtic cross.
Church of Crowa
Devoted to the Worship of the Goddess Crowa.
Followers of Crowa often receive more tolerance than others when they behave violently or impulsively; they are often willing to die to protect others and are usually sound tacticians and able commanders.
All her followers are forbidden offensive magic, whether religious or not, and her priests are forbidden the use of missile weapons. She does not forbid poison or stealthy attacks, but her priests are forbidden acts of treachery, such as attack under truce.
Church of Kharach
Devoted to the Worship of the God Kharach.
His followers have a ruthless reputation and are feared by many for their fearlessness in the face of death, their daily dealing with the dead and their fanaticism against the unliving. Kharachians however, believe in the sanctity of the soul and promote a respect for the fallen.
Followers of Kharach wear black clothes to show others of their dedication and to emulate their master.
Church of Longstor
Devoted to the Worship of the God Longstor.
Followers of Longstor are not often to be found in cities, they prefer the open spaces of the wild and some could even be considered feral. The church of Longstor protects the wild places in Ithron, preventing destruction or corruption of the forest, and other habitats. They teach of the cycle; the continuous renewal and decay of all that we see, and this is central to much of their dogma. They encourage living in harmony with nature, and fight those who seek to destroy or corrupt the wild places and the creatures that live in them. They believe that death is not something to be grieved or to be angry about, as it is a natural part of the cycle.
The members of the church have gained a reputation for being quite fierce in the face of any they consider to be an enemy. There is also a reasonably strong bond with the church of Kharach, due to similar views on certain aspects of death and on subjects such as resurrection.
Members of the Church of Longstor tend to wear greens and browns, and the holy symbol is any natural thing they want, often an acorn, or leaf.

Church of Rolbor
Devoted to the worship of the God Rolbor
Rolborians tend to be a jolly lot, pleasant enough folk, eager to please, held in high regard for their charity and love of humanity and its off-shoots, no matter their stature.
Rolborians try to promote friendship and a spirit of co-operation. They are expected to uphold tennants which promote sharing and practicality, while frowning upon greed and wastefulness. Alchemists, jewellers, vintners and merchants all pay homage to this God during their daily affairs.
Followers tend to wear expensive clothes and jewels, and dress in purple and gold, the unoffical colours of their church. They are an open minded and accepting group, always looking for people of like mind to join the church and spread the hospitality and friendship of its word around.
Of all the churches, Rolborians tend to be the most easy going. They can to be slow to anger, much preferring to talk, and try and convince others to do the same. Of course this does not mean that they cannot be quick to defend (reactively or pro-actively) themselves and others if violence is acted upon them - Though they have recently moved to a more enlightened position, the church was in the past famed for its unofficial motto: "by my faith in Rolbor become my friend *enchanted venom*"
Rolborians are valued mediators, cooks, minstrels, traders, philosophers and warriors.
Church of Tralda
Devoted to the Worship of the Goddess Tralda.
Her followers are discouraged from starting fights, but permitted almost any action to end them.
Her followers are often the oddities, loners and people on the edge of society. The Church gives them a family and a community of their own when previously they may have had none. Hence its well known convention of looking after Tralda's chosen - prostitutes, thieves, gamblers, bards, storytellers, travelling folk, the desperate and the disenfranchised. The Church look after those that others rarely choose to.
This leads into the church's commonly believed disregard for law, as in doing the Lady's work, the law is sometimes seen as more of a hindrance than a help. The Church and the Lady teach that if this is the path you choose, then to be wary not to fall foul of this hindrance.
Though the church has no formal colour, the faithful are often noted for their loud, bright and terrible clashes of pinks, reds, blues, greens and anything else they can find. Shades of blue however, do appear to have gained popularity in recent years.
The faithful are noted for their pranks, jokes, and taking almost any reasonable bet that's put their way. Yet they still cater for the serious and dour - the church has a home for almost every kind of personality and custom. Through this variety the church gains its strength.
They are often spotted in large groups round a table full of drink, passing a mia box round
