The Dark Churches

PC's may NEVER join the Dark churches. If they do then they instantly become NPC's under referee control.

There are six Churches of Dark Gods that oppose the churches of Light. As with their counterparts the Dark followers may be Kindred, Devoted or of the Priesthood. Those who join the Devoted or Priesthood are gifted with Mana in the same way as the followers of Light.

The Dark Churches each parallel a Church of Light and each of their belief systems revolves around a "dark" warped and twisted semblance of their counterpart. They are often referred to as 'opposites'; when it would be more accurate to think of them as corresponding entities who pray upon the vices of humanity that their counterpart works to prevent.

According to religious teachings, the twelve lesser gods were originally six individual Gods who encompassed both the Dark and Light aspects of each. They were split ages ago by Sidhe into the separate pantheons we know today and the Dark halves imprisoned. They were released from their planar prison around ten years ago and some formed "The Nameless One", who was later fragmented back into its component dark gods.

Church of Abraxis

Devoted to the worship of the God Abraxis, god of War and the Slaughter.

The holy symbol of Abraxis is the axe, and his colour is white.

Church of Bequifus

Devoted to the worship of the Goddess Bequifus, goddess of Pain and Suffering.

The holy symbol of Bequifus is a scorpion or spider, and her colour is red.

Church of Krygan

Devoted to the worship of the Goddess Krygan, goddess of Corruption.

Her holy symbol is a spiral and, though she has no favoured colour, her followers often wear dead animal skins.

Church of Fygol

Devoted to the worship of the Goddess Fygol, goddess of Greed and Waste.

The holy symbol of Fygol is a gold coin or chunk of gold and her followers favour similar colours to wear.

Church of Githas

Devoted to the worship of the God Githas, god of Vanity and Self Indulgence.

The holy symbol of Githas is the mirror and followers tend to wear a lot of green.

Church of Seraklan

Devoted to the worship of the God Seraklan, god of Lies and Deceit.

Seraklanites may wear the symbol of any other god and followers of Seraklan will often disguise themselves as followers of other gods. The 'official' holy symbol of Seraklan is a two-toned mask and the colours black and white.
