Arianna’s early life boasts nothing of any importance or great notability, the 5th child of a family that followed the ways of Lord Kharach. Each generation of her family had always had someone feel the call to the priesthood but as Arianna grew up it seemed she and her siblings did not feel such an urge; instead she chose to work with those destitute and abandoned in society and went to a charitable missionary supported by the Khrachian Church and dedicated herself to helping those that were less fortunate than herself.

Several years passed, the girl kindred found herself, one night answering a call at the main gates. It wasn’t unusual for there to be callers looking for shelter at all times of the day and night so this occurrence seemed no different. What followed after opening those gates was a very different story.

After opening the gate to what she thought was a single man in need of aid she was beset upon by a number of men who in one fell swoop had entered into the mission and overpowered her and the few others that were there at the time. The invaders demanded money and goods from them; they claimed that as the mission was supported by the Kharachian church then Arianna and her brethren were hiding untold wealth and treasures. For hours the arguments raged, beatings were delivered, with the intruders refusing to accept that the mission held nothing of any substantial value. As dawn broke across Ithron the men holding the missionaries hostage had ransacked the entire mission of anything of any value, no matter how small and yet they still demanded more, but with nothing to give them there wasn’t anything Arianna and the others could do, the men separated them up hoping that if they tried to intimidate them individually eventually one of them would break. Arianna was taken by three men who joked and sneered and pulled at her clothes ripping them. One of them went to remove the veil she and all female missionaries wore as part of their respect to Lord Kharach she asked them to stop but they seemed relentless. As her veil was ripped off one of her captors pulled out a wickedly sharp looking dagger, the two other in the room pinned her to the ground. The dagger was pressed deeply into her skin as the blade was dragged down her face, each time Arianna refused to tell them what they wanted to hear a further cut was made until the lower half of her face was criss-crossed with deep angry gashes.

Arianna floated in and out of consciousness, the last thing she remembers hearing before finally passing out was the knife wielder saying “now you have a real reason to hide your face...in imitation rather than respect” It is not known how long after Arianna passed out that the trespassers left but she was found still unconscious by a traveller looking to rest. Out of the four missionaries who had been held that night Arianna came out of it physically and emotionally scarred the most, the gashes although not life threatening were a permanent reminder of that night, a night she wishes she could forget, the nightmares that still haunt her to this day. She sat one afternoon at the simple shrine and begged Lord Kharach for answers, why had he not taken her to reside in his halls? After several hours of contemplation it seemed clear to Arianna what Lord Kharach had intended for her, she felt the pull of service she had never felt before. With a heavy heart she resigned her position within the missionary and as soon as her wounds healed she would venture out to start her supplication into the priesthood within the adventuring community.

Her first meeting with the adventuring community was in Neverthong on Lord Kharachs holy day, where she had the pleasure of meeting some of the most notable Kharachian adventurers and formed a firm friendship with Cassandra Drax and High Father Samuel L. Bronkowitz, both of whom have since died, and Jessica Daraksha of the Black Order. She can be seen in Bykerstave, Sintel where she lives with Father Gerard Oliver Tarquin Pilkington-de'Court of Crowa and also around Kirk-Leigh.
